Celebrating a Man of Character

Asked about his accomplishments, Greg Poole, Jr. would cite his relationships with God, family, friends, trusted colleagues and valued partners.

Mr. Poole’s extraordinary success in growing the business his father started, Gregory Poole Equipment Company, gave him opportunity to know and care for thousands of company employees and their families. His engagement in countless charitable initiatives and community development efforts places him at the head of a unique group – the pillars of our community.

Greg and Mary Ann have been dedicated and generous supporters of Urban Ministries’ work with significant contributions to our ongoing operations as well as capital improvements, such as the purchase and renovation of our current home at 1390 Capital Boulevard.

These values were instilled in the next generation of leadership in the Poole family, as Gregory Poole Equipment Company has continued to increase its support of Urban Ministries over the years under the leadership of Greg Poole, III.

When presented with the Chamber of Commerce’s A.E. Finley Distinguished Service Award, Greg Poole, Jr. summed up his family’s mission: “to make Raleigh a better place for everyone.” Thank you, Mr. Poole.
